The Clifton Education Foundation was chartered in 1999 and awarded its first scholarships to CHS seniors in 2000. Its mission is to provide increased educational opportunities for higher education to students in Bosque County public schools.
Since the inception of the Foundation, we have provided $484,500 in scholarships to Bosque County students. We have also been instrumental in recommending CHS students for an additional $284,803 in scholarships through the Buck Ludwick Scholarships and Raymond & Mary Grace Rogstad Foundation. This amounts to a total of $768,803 in scholarships for Bosque County seniors!
CHS graduates, generous donors, and community members have donated monies for the 20 scholarships which will be awarded this year, five of which were brand new in 2025!

One of the new scholarships, the Bosque County Charlie and Judy Blue Scholarship, is a scholarship intended for other public schools in Bosque County and is based on financial need. The Blues have been quietly supporting students throughout Bosque County for many years.
Dr. James and Judy Prescher have established a scholarship in memory of their grandson, a 2012 CHS graduate. Dakotta Prescher Thomas was tragically killed in an accident in 2013, during which time he was attending Blinn College.
Toby and Melissa Rouquette have established a scholarship for a senior attending Texas A&M University who would major in biomedical or animal science.
Linda Fehler & Brandon Hoff are awarding two scholarships this year in memory of CHS graduate, husband and father, Mike Hoff, who died in a tragic accident in 2000 at the age of 40. These scholarships are intended for students attending Texas Tech University.
The Clifton Lions Club has joined with the Clifton Education Foundation to award its scholarships.
The Clifton Education Foundation is organized under the Texas Nonprofit Corporation Act and is recognized as a charitable organization by the IRS under its 501c3 designation, making all donations tax deductible. 100% of your donations goes directly toward scholarships or grants as all work for the Foundation is done on a voluntary basis.
The Foundation works closely with Clifton ISD as well as other ISDs in Bosque County, however, the Foundation is separate and has an independent governing board.
